It's a handmade adventure!

Cinched Earwarmer

Finally!  A project to share!  I’ve been pretty busy with the kids and a new hobby, bow making.  I know, like I need another hobby.  I’m not sure how exactly I landed in a pile of ribbon, but I’m enjoying the almost instant gratification that comes with bow making.  Plus, bows are a lot more cost effective when it comes to selling my wares, which I’ve been trying to do for a while now.  Anyway, back to the knitting!

024About a week ago, my sister-in-law sent me a picture of an ear warmer and asked me if I could make her one.  I said yes, of course.  Going off the picture, I made a pattern and had the whole thing completed in a couple of hours.  I think it’s really cute, and I hope she likes it!

013 If you’re interested in making one for yourself, I typed up the pattern in my project notes. I used Loops & Threads Cozy Wool in “Granite” and size 15 needles.  I didn’t measure how much yarn I used, but it was way less than a ball.  I’m pretty sure I could get another ear warmer out of the remainder.  I bet Eva will want an ear warmer for next winter once she sees her aunt wearing one. 🙂

  1. Cute ear warmer and bow, but adorable model! I love Ribbon Retreat for project ideas and technique tutorials. They have a blog too.

    • Thank you! She loves to be in front of the camera. 🙂 I have a bunch of Ribbon Retreat’s tutorials pinned. I’m slowly mastering different kinds of bows. This is going to take a while!

  2. So cute! I want to make it for myself!
