Textured Gray Muff

My sister’s second commissioned piece is finished!

I don’t have too much to say about this.  I followed the pattern exactly.  It was a huge pain in the butt, but I’m someone who hates seaming and finishing, so that’s sort of a given.

032Rae had this muff made specially to wear with her dark blue cape.  I think the outfit looks really cute.  Too bad I don’t have a cape…or the will to make another muff.

038I used Knit Picks Swish Worsted in “Dove Heather” and size 8 needles. I tried it on, and it seems pretty warm.  There is batting sewn into the interior, so that helps block the cold.  Eva was on hand as my second photographer:

Rae’s Belugah Hat

A couple months back, my sister commissioned me to make her a number of knit pieces.  I started with the easiest (and less time consuming) project, a Belugah Hat.

019Rae picked Knit Picks Swish Worsted in “Bordeaux” for the yarn.  I used sizes 6 and 10 needles.  I’ve made this hat three times.  It’s very simple and straightforward.
